Vintage Patrick Kelly
Mint Condition 3 piece designer skirt bustier and jacket suit from 1980s designer Patrick Kelly. Gorgeous cotton leopard print with straight slim skirt, fitted bustier with ruffle and beautiful peplum jacket with classic 80s shoulder pads. You can wear it to any party without the jacket and everyone will think that you just bought it new!
Patrick Kelly was a very famous designer in the late 1980s and in 1988 he became both the first American and the first person of color to be admitted as a member of the Chambre syndicale du prêt-à-porter des couturiers et des créateurs de mode. Sadly, Patrick Kelly died at the young age of 35. The bustier has underwire, 3 rows of hooks and eyes with smock pleating for an adjustable fit, and adjustable shoulder straps.
The skirt has a back zipper and is very slim through the hips with a high waist band and the jacket has peplum and bamboo buttons. The peplum is beautifully pleated in the back and both the jacket and skirt are lined. This ensemble appears to have never been worn and was made in France.
