Between 80 dB (A) and 84 dB (A)
An employer has a duty to provide the employees with ear protectors if requested. An employee has the right to request suitable and efficient personal ear protection.
At 85 dB (A) and above
An employer must provide the employees with suitable ear protectors and ensure that the employees wear them. An employee has a duty to wear ear protectors provided and report any defects.
